Just Another Manic Monday (Oh-Woe)

What a fun weekend! It's been a while but the destructive crew of Eddie, Boy, Pitzen and I were back in full form down in Des Moines/Ames. Well, at least for a little while. We saw what happens when you put the four of us together for a 2 year old's birthday party, then go off to do a Bachelor Party immediately following. In case you're wondering, getting those St. Patty's Day tattoos off is a lot harder than you would think. Can still kind of see a trace of it this morning. Good luck getting all of them off of Emily.

Basketball is through weekend 1. I went 25/32 in the first round, and only 9/16 in the second round. More importantly though I have 7 of my final 8 left playing (STUPID WISCONSIN... who picks them!?!?!?), and all of my final 4 left in the tourney. And we all owe a prayer of thanks to the basketball deities for being nice to Ohio State on Saturday, otherwise I'd be folding by now. Go USC and Timmy Floyd though! I did predict that one correctly;)

Iowa State women are still playing after a good win on Saturday. And unfortunately ISU came up a little short in the Wrestling finals (which there were probably just as many people watching that Saturday night at the bars as there were people watching the basketball) placing 2nd to Minnesota. Now if we can just get back to our winning ways with men's basketball and football!

Another weird episode of The Apprentice last night. The powerful girls team lost and some interesting interaction in the board room. But Muna went home which was probably the right call based on the task they were given. I have a feeling though she will be back to help the final contestants. Looks like next week's episode should be interesting. Is anyone else besides me watching this season?

And finally - Rochester welcomes back Papa Wheeler who will be arriving this evening and staying at the BigShow Inn and Suites for the week! Just like old times around the house for the week. Too bad it's not quite ready for golfing around here.

Haiku of the Day -
So tired today
Shouldn't have stayed out so late
Pitzen wouldn't leave.....

Entertainment of the Day - I watched Stranger Than Fiction yesterday (with Will Ferrell and Dustin Hoffman) which was.... strange, but pretty good. Will Ferrell is very funny as always, plus Maggie Gyllenhaal is super cute in the movie! Worth a viewing since it's plot is unlike anything I remember recently.

Weblink of the Day - 80s music on the violin.... somehow I know people that could this performance with very little preparation. Someone's going to have to download it to a CDR for Shary!
