The Big12 Basketball tournament starts today - up first is the ISU Cyclones who need to win the whole thing this week if they want any chance of being in the big dance next week. The odds of that happening are 1 in 10,000,000,000 I think. My odds of winning last night's Power Ball are better!
No unusual occurrences yesterday - I'll take it! Brews Brothers are rolling tonight against the much hated Lightning Dorks. We hold the season points so far at 12-2 with 7 more points on the line tonight. Most of my team is on the IR or unavailable so not sure how competitive it will be tonight. Brews Brothers always win the "smack talk" war - that's a given.
Since my Entertainment section is getting taken up by crappy music, here are some movies I've seen lately to share:
Farce of the Penguins - this one was so dumb it was funny. Samuel L Jackson narrating a Bob Saget written plot based off of the March of the Penguins movie. Lots of swearing and as usual, Lewis Black is a riot. Not really worth a viewing unless you're REALLY bored.
Saw 3 - had to return it after about 30 minutes in. Just not in the mood for the gory crap anymore. Once you've seen one of them, you've seen all of them.
Pulse - unusual film but not bad. It's a sci-fi flick where a virus is going around on computers that infects humans. The only way to get away from the virus is to go out of range of cell phone towers and internet, etc. Yes - this is pretty much the plot line of Stephen King's book The Cell so I think that is why I didn't like it. A movie on his book is coming out this year sometime.
Grandma's Boy - A recommendation from someone at work due to Linda Cardellini being in it - yes she's very cute. The movie is most of the crew from Adam Sandler's movies (no Adam Sandler though) and the plot is rather strange. Still funny though and the nerdy video game programmer in the movie that imitates the Matrix all the time reminds me of WAY too many people I work with daily. It's showing on Showtime channel right now if you search for it and want to watch it. Lots of swearing and pot smoking.
Haiku of the Day
No news is good news
Just makes it harder to blog
Anyone read these??
Entertainment of the Day - The Brews Brothers are going with Journey's Any Way You Want It in order to get pumped for the big match up tonight. There were other funny versions that weren't so serious, but some are not quite appropriate;) Anyways.... one more tomorrow and back to some good stuff.
Weblink of the Day - This was humorous. When celebrities check into a hotel, they of course use alias names to protect their famous identity. Here's a quiz to see if you can guess what some celebrities use.... I need to start working on what I'll use when I check in now that I'm approaching my SuperStar status!

I'm bowling for the Lightning Strikes tonight and the team always seems to do well in my presence. Watch out!
