- Instead of worrying about pitch problems or forgetting your words while performing, just lip-sync your performance like Gwen did. Much easier if you don't have to actually sing when the microphone is in front of your face. It's amazing how the vocals kept on going strong even though she didn't have the mic up yet.
- Chris Sligh goes home - he was funny, but humor only takes you so far
- My vote for Haley allowed the "sex appeal" to stick around for one more week!
- Notice how 2 of the 3 bottom were the ones who sang the Police/Sting? What did I say yesterday about that? I know this stuff way too well - listen to me next time.
- If you don't vote, you can't complain.... just like the governmental elections..... about Sanjaya or anything else about the show! . I voted (for Haley of course) so I can complain! We all need to vote 2000 times in order to offset the 13 year old votes. Or all parents should take away phone privileges from any girl under the age of 16 for Tuesday evening.
Another thing I didn't know but learned last night was that Jeff Foxworthy worked for IBM for 5 years. Did you know that? The things you learn by watching Jeopardy every night. There's probably a joke in here somewhere, just can't think of it at the moment.
And specifically for Emily - don't you remember the "Great Inquisition of Cincinnati"? I think 50% of choir was suspended for either drinking or being around drinking and not reporting it. The day that everyone served their sentence, there were maybe 40 people in choir that day. I remember there being a KKK rally across the street from our hotel because there were a lot of protesters (and snipers on the rooftops). And I remember hearing about Kurt Cobain while we were at King's Island amusement park (those of us not drinking). Couple of the guys did a Karaoke video of Smells Like Teen Spirit in his honor. How's that for random memories?
Oh yeah - Mexico (pronounced "me-HE-ko" after 2-3 drinks with umbrellas in them) is less than 2 weeks away!
Haiku of the Day -
Sanjaya sucks bad
But 13 year old girls vote
GET A DAMN HAIRCUT
Entertainment of the Day - Flipping through to find something as background while I caught up on things for work, Die Hard - the original one, was on Showtime. Now I know this is one of Eddie's favorite movies, but I realized how bad this movie was (mainly because it's a typical 1988 action movie without a huge budget and acting skills). I think this is one series of movies that only got better as they went on. Samuel L Jackson as ZEUS (not the Zeus from the Friday movies).... ya lost yet?
Weblink of the Day - In anticipation of the July 27th release of the Greatest Movie ever.... there will be a few real life Kwik-E-Marts that sell Squishees and month old hotdogs. With illegal fireworks in the back room too!
