The People's Day

Look out ladies!!! Brian is on his way back to Iowa! The ground will shake, the waves of water (or possibly corn) will part, the birds will sing, the clouds will disappear, the chorus of Angels in Heaven will sing Country as Brian steps off of that plane tonight. Good thing I have so many weddings to see Brian at, otherwise the ladies of Iowa would have nobody to look forward to!

And for those of you who are "shocked" by Melinda going home last night - don't be. Very rarely does the strongest long term performer actually win American Idol. Plus when you consider who does a bulk of the voting for American Idol, you really shouldn't be shocked. I did vote for Blake, mainly because I think he'll pull out some more original stuff for the final. No vote for Mmmm Bop.

I did like seeing Elliott Yamin back on last night's show - and did anyone else notice his NEW TEETH?????? That was very noticeable last season, how great of a singer he was but he had some messed up chops. Well they're fixed now (must be nice to have money coming in) and even on some tabloids for us to view and smile at. Plus I found him singing "Somebody to Love" by Queen from last season (for my mom - huge Queen fan and only a Season 6 AI convert). That boy was good! I forget which one made Paula ball for like an hour... I'll see what I can find later today.

Golf league "officially" starts tonight for me since I was unable to golf last week (thanks to Drew for filling in and losing a dozen golf balls instead of me). Which reminds me I better pick up a case or two of "spares" to use this year. Meadow Lakes in Rochester is tricky if you've never played it.

Anyways - Happy May 17th which is "Ascension Thursday" (40 days after Easter) which is traditionally held as the day when Jesus left earth to go be with God.
