How Random Can I Get?

I finally had to give in and turn the Air Conditioning on last night for all of 2 hours. When I came home, it was 80 degrees inside my townhouse which I was ok with.... till it went up to 83 and showed no quick signs of dropping off when I was on my evening conference call. Despite the "cold front" that came through in the middle of the night, I can't sleep at 83 degrees. So the switch came on (everything worked thankfully - hadn't tried it out yet this year... nothing has been on since beginning of April) and about 30 minutes later it was much more tollerable. Plus I was nasty sweaty while practicing last night which is never fun.

Don't get me started on the 45 mph constant wind yesterday!

American Idol is on tonight - FINAL 3!!! Also means that we're finally through another season of this junk next week. As an added bonus, Elliot Yamin returns on Wednesday night - see how he's improved over the past year. Maroon 5 also performing for anyone that is interested. Me? I'll fast forward to the final 5 minutes as usual.

BTW - Did anyone see Family Guy this past week? They had a speech where the crowd started going crazy and cheering, then they clipped over to the crying girl from AI? Yes - I found it for those that missed it. I found it pretty funny! God bless the internet!

What other random thoughts can I share today?

Today is National Chocolate Chip Day!!! Seriously - go eat Chocolate Chips I guess. In an unrelated (or possibly related for some of you sickos out there.... you know who you are) date - it's Nylon Stockings Day as well! Don't believe me? Check this out:
First introduced by the Du Pont Corporation in 1940, nylon stockings were an instant success. Billed as "stronger than steel" and "run-proof," the public was fascinated by the new synthetic material. Du Pont brilliantly promoted the new stockings from the start. On May 15, 1940, Du Pont declared "N-Day" - for the first time, all across America, nylon stockings would go on sale. Women lined up for blocks and Du Pont sold 5 million pair in that single day.
I don't think I'll celebrate either holiday unfortunately.

Are ya lost yet?

Haiku of the Day
Practicing my bass
Playing in weddings for fun
I won't play Freebird

Entertainment of the Day - I finished watching The Break Up last night (on every couple of hours on HBO). It's the flick with Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn when they hooked up in real life causing the end of her and Brad Pitt. The movie was interesting with it being a typical male/female relationship with typical problems (aka - guy can't read the girl, girl expects too much from the guy) and was very funny in parts. The end??? well, I won't give it away. One additional note - Jennifer Aniston was amazingly hot.... IS amazingly hot! Just thought I'd share.

Weblink of the Day - Another bowling trick that will blow your mind.... can't do this one on Wii bowling that I know of!
