Another shortened blog this morning.... most of you should be working anyways!
Wheeler suggested this article about who else is benefiting from high gas prices.... prepare to get upset.
With increasing gas prices ($3.25 this morning up from $3.13), Drew suggested we all buy mopeds and get back to basics of the 80s! I wondered, how much does a moped cost anymore? Well here's all you need to know about buying a Moped:
The GIZMO Moped is only $1000 (that's 307 gallons worth of gasoline). It is just under 50 cc, 20mph is the top speed, weighs 120 pounds and has an impressive 125 Miles per Gallon. Who needs a loud and obnoxious street bike when you can buy a loud and obnoxious moped for 1/10th the cost? Even comes in three colors (red, black, and blue) with CHROME fenders..... ooooooh.... ahhhhh.....
It's costin' ya NOT to get one!
Would be hard to carry (but not impossible) my golf clubs while riding that thing. Plus would take me 30 minutes to get to Oak Summit on that thing from my house.
Speaking of golf - not an impressive showing by myself on the golf course last night. Fundamentals are still good from the lessons last year, but need to straighten out and practice a little more this week.
Big wedding in Iowa this weekend! My list of Single Friends becomes even smaller after tomorrow's big hitchin'! It'll be fun to be with the good ol' college gang yet again (Mexico crew + even more!!). Plus I'm playing for the wedding so my bass gets practiced at least for now.
Have a good weekend!
Haiku of the Day
Swinging a golf club
Such a basic concept, yes?
Why do I suck then??
Entertainment of the Day I watched a very interesting movie - The Dead Girl which went under almost every radar screen last year. It caught my eye because it has Brittany Murphy in yet another role playing a drugged up hooker type (my favorite role for her.... YEAH!!!) so of course I rented it. The plot was actually really interesting to see how 7 totally independent people are changed by the death of one girl - they don't come together, but their paths very briefly pass by each other due to this one occurance. Very well done and even though it's marked as a "thriller", there's nothing scary about this one.
Weblink of the Day - Very interesting video made with dice.... song kind of sucks, but still better than Journey.

When I was in San Fran I lived down the street from a Vespa dealership, they're probably really overpriced, but they so cool. It really made me want to buy one, but then Courtney said, "Oh you're going to get one so you can ride it here for about 2 months out of the year?" Good point!
