Still Hating Journey

The Spurs could very well be the most boring Champions ever. What's funny is that I wouldn't even call them "World Champions" at this point since the NBA doesn't necessarily represent the best teams in the world. The NBA is probably the most culturally diverse major sport now a days which I will give them props on. Already people are comparing this team (with their 4th title in 9 years) to the Bulls, Celtics and Lakers.... too early to do that. Jordan's Bulls were a hell of a lot more fun to watch than the Spurs. Just can't throw the "Dynasty" word around the day after winning a championship.

And Parker wins the MVP, now goes to get married to Eva Longoria or whatever. Lucky 'Stard!

Which brings me to my "Complaint of the Day" which has been common this week. This has been a bad week anyways, and to make it worse - I have to continuously hear idiots that don't realize how shitty JOURNEY is. Thanks to the Sopranos ending (no, I don't watch it but I've felt the after effects all week to the ending) I heard Don't Stop Believing on the Daily Show from the other night (they were doing a Sopranos spoof) and then last night during the NBA finals they played the same dang song going into a commercial break. Seriously - the song sucks, the band sucks... get over it!

Wedding tonight in Des Moines. Might have to stop in Ames on the way down to see if there are any good sales on ISU clothing. Can't ever have too much ISU clothing is my rule!

Golf last night wasn't horrible ALL the time.... just most of the time. I really need to get my driving under control. My irons are actually hitting pretty well and i came away parring 3 of the holes and just missed a 50 foot birdy putt by about 2 inches. My short game was right on and I was 3 for 3 with my lob shots. Not a shot that I like doing, but all three cases last night - lob shot was pretty much my only option. Now I just need to figure out how to get off the teebox without losing a ball everytime.

Anyone want a washed up arrogant quarterback for cheap? Daunte Cullpepper is going somewhere other than Miami for next season, and now he comes with "driver stupidity" as he just bruised his non-throwing hand in a car accident. How is he going to do his audibles if he doesn't have two good hands?????

And I'm sad to say that my hunger strike didn't last too long. I was refusing to eat anything till they freed Paris (again) but this 2nd trip to jail might last more than I was willing to participate. I know, where's the dedication?
