Most Expensive City?

So maybe I wasn't paying attention last year, but when they rank the most expensive cities in the world to live in, Moscow ranked 1st. For some reason, that really surprises me. I would have guessed Tokyo, New York, London, and maybe Oslo (since Norway is the most expensive place to visit). NY is 15th, Los Angeles is 42nd..... Good ol' depreciating US Dollar helping that out! So Moscow is first, London 2nd, Seoul 3rd, Tokyo 4th. Interesting...

Rochester is NOT on the list despite having more expensive gas (by usually 10 cents) than Minneapolis/St. Paul. So for anyone driving to the cities and passing through Rochester, do NOT fill up here. Just keep on driving and you'll find it cheaper.

Went to the Step Advantage last night at the RAC which is the "Pro" level I think. The funniest part of the class is how some of the ladies are very insistent on setting up in the same spot every time. And they don't take well to outsiders invading their space! So instead of setting up close (like some nameless readers), I plan on setting up in the EXACT SPOT next time where one lady insists on being. See what she does or says. Seriously, get a life!!

In sad news, there are rumors that they might be closing the Guinness Brewery in Dublin (St. James Gate) - why? They are brewing it in 50 sites around the world and since sales were down last year (who's not keeping up?) - one of the options on the table is to close the original site after 250 years of brewing Guinness. For those with access to my office, the panoramic picture on my white board is from the top of the Guinness Brewery in Dublin.... can't close that!!!!

Here's a fun quiz - Guess the Death Scene with drawings made in MS Paint. I was 6 of 10 on this one.

Haiku of the Day -
Guinness in Dublin
Does it get any better?
A taste of Heaven

Entertainment of the Day - I watched Ghost Rider last night - the Comic Book movie with Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes. This could very easily be the WORST movie I've ever seen. Definitely top 5. It would have been less painful to watch Pretty Woman or even Steel Magnolias than watch this piece of crap movie. And sure, I can't stand Nicolas Cage and I'm not a huge Mendes fan... but that wasn't even the worst part of the movie. Took almost a full hour to get to the point of the movie and then you're left with cheezy graphics the rest of the film on top of the shitty acting. Started out ok, but the beginning was as good as it gets. Best part of the movie was the start of the credits when you knew it was over. Pathetic movie....

Weblink of the Day - A preview for the movie 300 but using moments from Simpsons History... well done!
