Top 100 Movies - The Non-AFI Version

New baby Fink - congrats!!!

Root Canal went as well as can be expected. I do NOT want another one of those in this lifetime - just have to keep the cavities away and since that one was my only one, I'm back to zero to worry about for now. I do have to say that it was the most pain I've experienced in a long time, mainly because I've lived a good life and been able to stay away from most pain. The only thing I could think of that was "worse" was going to the Brooks and Funn concert back in the 1997ish time frame. Never do that again either. I did ask about getting a crown with a diamond in it so I could flash a little bling-bling and they said they could do it, for a high cost - but since it's on a molar in the back where nobody can see, I decided against doing that.

AFI released yet another list of "100 movies you may have heard of but have probably never seen" that are considered "best ever". Only a few movies post-1985 in the top 50 which was a little surprising. And Star Wars higher than Empire Strikes Back? PU-LEASE!!!!!

So here's my suggested list of "Greatest Movies Ever"... in no particular order - ok, maybe alphabetical since that's how I pulled them up on my Netflix ratings....

Haiku of the Day
No golf league last night
as the storms with hail came in
I was hitting well:(

Entertainment of the Day - I watched the movie Bridge to Terabithia last night. I remember being sad when I read the book in 2nd grade or whatever - but the movie just didn't have the same effect. Not worthy of the "Top 100" list, not worthy of the "Worst 100" list either. The kid in the movie is the same as the one from Zathura which reminds me of the dumb blonde from The Apprentice (Randall's season) who always pronounced it "ZEN-thura" and was fired for being stupid. Nice random thought there for ya.

Weblink of the Day - Proof that Parents need to quit "negotiating" with their kids and just lay down the law. This kid's argument with his parents is recorded by the other players in his World of Warcraft game. Wait for all of their reactions online at the end - too funny!
