Easter is much much better than Christmas for many reasons. It's SUPPOSED to be warmer... but it's nasty cold here lately and very windy. Might be a little better by the end of the weekend, but we're getting around 25mph winds and windchill around 0 degrees.
Easter is also a lot less stressful than Christmas overall, thus more enjoyable. The religious impact of what Easter signifies is much more important than Christmas (besides - historians have shown that Dec. 25 is most likely NOT the time of year that Christ was born). There are far less annoying songs on the radio (although they should stop playing all the Gwen Stefani songs the day after Easter... wouldn't that be sweet?), the candy is better (although I no longer crave Peeps.... dang challenges from my lab days), and usually (and I do mean USUALLY) the weather is better. Not this year.
Caught up on some movies lately. The Prestige which is the movie about the battling magicians.... it was ok. Interesting plot and good acting, but I didn't care for how it ended. Confusing in some parts and kind of long, but worth a viewing (I know I say that about pretty much any movie. I also watched The Departed which is another long movie, pretty well done, kind of confusing, and another sort of disappointed ending. I still can't watch a movie with Marky Mark and not sing "It's such a... GOOD VIBRATIONNNNNN".... or "I am a bright shining star". He's not that good of an actor.
I was told to wait another 15k miles for my brake replacements... by the guy at Midas so I'm not going to argue with him.
I'm off from work next week, but not off from blogging! Lucky you! Have a wonderful Easter!!! We have notification that the final passport for the Mexico crew has finally arrived!

Entertainment of the Day - Another Easter tradition for me over the past 7 years or so is to watch Jesus Christ Superstar over the Holiday Weekend. It's a great musical, movie, and inspirational... not controversial. Give it a try! I'll be enjoying the movie on Sunday with my folks.

Whew! I was getting nervous about the passport business! I too thought the ending to The Departed sucked compared to the rest of the movie, and considering it was up for and won so many awards! See you Thursday on the warm side!
