Happy Birthday Kaycee!!! Kaycee is 5 today I believe! And she probably would be better fit to be a Princess for a Day. For pictures of this exciting and energetic young lady, go here...... (and wish her a Happy Birthday!!)
American Idol had "Queen" night last night and I thought it was rather well done. A heck of a lot better than Country Night last week. Although when a non-Freddy Mercury is singing, it sounds a lot more like "Best of Broadway". I should have my mom watch and let me know what she thinks.... she's one of the biggest Queen fans I've ever known. Just shows where I inherited my superior taste in music listening. I didn't inherit the listening to AM talk shows with guys whose name starts with "R" and rhymes with "Rush" like my dad. Even though... here's my ranking for last night including my bottom 3.
1) Elliott - even though he's not well liked, I thought he was easily the best performance on a tough song
2) Chris - I didn't like the song either, but he still kicks ass
3) Katharine - Good song
4) Taylor - He plays the nut role so well - how long will it last?
5) Paris - I think she's still one of the best in here, but not sure why the bottom 3 last week
6) Kellie - she has too many honkey friends that will vote but I still think she's bottom 3
7) TIE with Duece and Bucky..... both were pretty horrible and I'd prefer Bucky to go home (Ace has had a few decent performances). I predict Ambiguously Gay Ace is going home.
Since I'll be on Cingular next week, I can start texting to vote rather than messing with the busy 866 numbers.
Write it down now - I am predicting Gas prices to reach $3.19 this summer. Could be as early as Memorial Day weekend. You heard it here first! There is no reason right now to justify the $2.69 prices but they are still high. Demand is down, production up, gas futures are down.... .they just do it because nobody is stopping them. Expect another record quarter profit for the gas companies.
It's Wednesday - Easter is only a couple of days away. I like Easter because it is pretty close to a stress-free holiday. I hate Christmas because everyone gets so worked up and worried about things. Plus in the Midwest you have weather issues to deal with for travel. Plus with companies like IBM, we have end of the year revenue to worry about. In the middle of April like this, there's nothing to do but eat, be with friends and/or family, and relax while you celebrate the true meaning of this holiday when Christ defeated Satan and evil and gives us all a reason to wake up in the mornings - knowing that someday we will be with him forever in a place where there is no pain, no sin, no evil... no country music.
Song of the Day - The Queen song I was hoping would be performed last night was Bicycle Race but not sure who could have sang it.... Maybe Taylor?? The lyrics are dumb, but it has a great melody that might have been good for someone on AI. Too bad for them. BI-cycle, BI-cycle, BI-CYCLE!
Video of the Day - In honor of TonyA's boy Ace probably going home tonight on AI - I found a page full of video clips of the Ambiguously Gay Duo. For those that are wondering what I keep talking about with "Ace and Gary", here you go. It's a bunch of clips from a cartoon that used to run on Saturday Night Live. You have to watch it but it's quite funny!
Webpage of the Day - In my rare moments of issuing a PSA - anyone that uses Baush and Lomb (ReNu) Contact Solution should stop doing so immediately and read this link.... luckily I use Target brand since I'm ultra cheap like that!!

Country music isn't included in heaven's jukebox? Nooooooo.... Last weekend I filled up with $3.09 gas- it wan't even the premium grade. I predict you prediction is low even for the midwest. It a good thing I'm cheap and use the Target brand too. I used to use the "Now with free blindness" brand.
Heads up Brian and Adam...you may want to sit down for this...I updated my blog!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the PSA...I use the ReNu solution. No fungus growing in my eyes yet though.
Good call on the country music.
