Second off, everyone welcome Quinn Markson Whinery. He is pushing 10 days old now and already shows signs of Cyclone Greatness! Congrats again to Mark and Susan on a cute son. Let me know when you're ready for me to take him to some Cyclone tailgating parties!
The Brews Brothers took at least 4 points last night and possibly 5 (out of a possible 7). I stepped up with a 153, 146 and my pathetic 100. That's a new high for me though. A lot better than my 114 average. What sucks is how I had 10 pins to aim at in the "extra" 10th and only hit 3 pins, then in the 10th of the 3rd game, I left a 7 5 split and only had to hit one of the pins for my first ever 400 series. I went right between the two. Dangit!! Thanks to all the cheering fans who came out to yell at us!
Next, I just wanted to laugh at the pathetic White House Administration that is finally getting what it deserves. That's what happens when all of you elect a crooked politition. Oh Sorry, he was the "Christian" option according to most of you. Look at him now. Libby is going down and although Rove should have been fired (per Dum-ya's own words before he realized it was his own man... then he retracts) he'll be indicted at a later time. That plus the fact that Miers finally realized she actually might NOT be the most qualified person to sit on the Supreme Court bench. By her requirements, I have a lot of friends that are equally as qualified as her for the highest court in the land. Martine would be my first pick. She's smart and would serve well.
Some sports predictions to get wrong but I still have fun with it:
- Cyclones over A&M at College Station. 31-23 which means yes, we made a field goal again!
- Colorado over KSU, Oklahoma over Nebraska, Texas destroys Ok St, and nobody cares about Missouri/Kansas (sorry Dr. Angie - but you didn't even know who Missou was playing)
- Arizona with the big upset at Oregon State (for you Christa) with some brilliant play from the long snapper!
- Go Northwestern!! They'll beat Michigan easily and Iowa takes the week off to cry and come up with new excuses why they lost last week again.
- And for all the loyal fans that are further North than I am..... NDSU takes out Southern Utah on the road!! YEAH BISON!!!
- Pro-style: Bears over Lions, Carolina over Sexkings, Denver over Philly, and San Diego over Cleveland
Finally, a shot of the awesome Nephews. Elliott called last night to tell me he has a new flashlight. It's brown according to him.
Song of the Day - Car Wash by Rose Royce is blaring on my headphones this morning. Not sure how I got it in my head this morning but it's a good song for a Friday. Gets you pumped up to get through the last day of the week and enjoy the weekend. I know it's halloween weekend but I have no costume this year so I'm not too excited. Never been a big exciting person for Halloween. Although it's my buddy Nate's 30th Birthday is on Monday. Happy Birthday old man!
Video of the Day - More videos have arrived from Netflix for me to watch this weekend. I did finally watch The Longest Yard with Adam Sandler. Pretty funny movie with Chris Rock in it. And of course the cameo by Rob Schneider was well worth the wait!! It gets 4 out of 5 stars on my scale.
Webpage of the Day - Exxon posts a new record for profit. Um..... DUH! Does anyone else see this as a problem? And they aren't guilty of price gouging? Someone please explain that to me!

Nice photos. Glad to see the Quinn is famous already. Assuming anyone looks at this blog other than me :-)
Why are you listening to "Car Wash?" Yes, I have that one too, but it never gets listened to. You are listening to some questionable songs lately.
Dearest Adam,
I keep checking out your page hoping to see my picture posted (c'mon...you know the one: me by the "mmmm....beer" license plate).
Keep up the good work anyway, darling. And, did I tell you that Ross and I went to college with Drew Curtis, the founder of Fark.com? He was just back in Decorah for homecoming--he and Ross graduated together 10 years ago.
Kisses,
Nori
