Next chapter in the ongoing psycho world known as the "Spears Household" has been written as Britney has a standoff with police and K-Fed over her kids. She must have been tired of her little sister getting all the attention and magazine covers. Is Lynne Spears the mother of the year or what?!?!?

Kansas wins the Orange Bowl last night! While not in the convincing fashion I was hoping for, I still think they can pull out a #2 finish on the season, possibly higher in a split pole? Hopefully Ohio State gets their butts whooped so Kansas would be an elite 1 loss team.

Big playoff weekend for the NFL! Some good games both Saturday and Sunday. My predictions? Jacksonville over Pitt, Seattle over Redskins, Tampa over G-men, and San Diego wins HUGE over Tennessee. Super Bowl prediction? New England over Seattle.

Brews Brothers took 5 points last night. Should have had all 7, but lost the 2nd round by 2 pins. Still, a victory feels good!

Martina Hingis is banned from tennis for testing positive for cocain. 2 YEAR BAN!!! Much more severe in an individual sport than in the team leagues (MLB, NBA, NFL) where a player gets paid while on his leave of absense. In tennis, you don't compete, you don't really make money. She's "retiring" again at the age of 27. How many people can say they've retired 2 times by the age of 27?
