Just remember, if you don't vote, you can't b**ch. So Chris goes home last night on American Idol, despite what most of the women readers out there will think. But how many of you picked up the phone last to vote and show your support? Exactly. Elliott got my vote and he's around another week. It'll be interesting as the only one that is probably truly longterm marketable is Katharine. But I also think at this point in the game, she's the weakest link.
Unan1mous is over.... and boy was I disappointed. Not sure if anyone else has been following, but it was actually in the top 20 last week for ratings overall. Being after American Idol probably helps that. Tiara went home with $380K (from a starting $1.5 million) and crying the whole time. I still think Adam should have screwed her over and voted against her. I know I would have. TANSTAAFL!!!!!
Golf was pretty horrible last night, although I did par #1, and bogeys on #2 and #3. I would have parred #3 but Emerich told me to aim left for some reason. Last time I listen to him. He's fired as my caddy. Might have some skin money coming on #1.
This has been the big week for Video Games out at the E3 conference in California. The subject of interest to me is the details (although still pretty vague and elusive) of the new Nintendo, now called Wii. (As in.... I'm riding down a rollercoaster and I scream WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE). They have demos out on gamespot's webpage that are pretty sweet. Including the new "Zapper" gun for the new Duck Hunt that will be coming out. They also show some of the advantages to the new controller with some folks playing tennis. It's pretty sweet if you ask me! Take a look if you're interested.
This weekend is Mother's Day. Have you sent a card yet? Just a friendly reminder from your favorite BigShow.
Song of the Day - I can tell you three songs that are NOT the song of the day because I'm tired of hearing them right now. First is Bad Day which they play EVERY DANG WEEK on American Idol. Song was ok till they played it every 5 minutes on the radio. I also am tired of Be Without You by Mary J. Blige. Song isn't that good anyways. And Hazel's favorite song, You're Beautiful by James Blunt. She knows how much I hate that song and make fun of it so as soon as it comes on the radio, she'll turn it. I have her well trained.
Video of the Day - This one's pretty sweet. I personally hate Pachelbel's Cannon (the one you hear at EVERY wedding) but this version on electrical guitar is pretty awesome. March down the aisle with this playing and everyone in the church would KNOW you're cool!!
Webpage of the Day - there are a lot of neat things out at thinkgeek.com that some of you (me included) might enjoy. Thanks to CTJ for showing me the LED faucet that would look good in every home. I don't have the right sinks, unless I install it in the kitchen. That might work.

Have you ever checked out gametrailers.com? If you have, just curious what you thought of it. They might have some Wii stuff too.
Amazingly enough, I am not into video games at all and I actually know what E3 is. Gametrailers used to be part of the company my husband works for, but is now owned by Mtv. I am friends with the owners. Anyway just thought I would share.
And yes, I didn't vote, and yes, I am pissed that Chris was kicked off. He rocked!
I voted for everyone except for Elliott. He is just not as interesting a singer, and he has an annoyingly fast vibrato. Chris sometimes gets a bit of that fast vibrato, too, but not as much, and I think he's been one of the more consistently good singers. It's a shame he was voted off. I like Katherine, but sometimes she goes overboard with almost country-music-like effects in her voice. (And some of the songs she's sung in the past have been horribly schmaltzy, thanks to the arrangements with chimes and such.) But she definitely is marketable. Taylor seems like a definite niche-player. Elvis night was definitely a good match for him.
I do agree with Elliott's vibrato, but I think musically - he's improved so much from week to week and looks to be the one interested in trying harder to win. I give points for work ethic:) I think the proper coach can help fix that though.
Katharine has that glip in her voice that I hate (listen to any Britney or Christina song). Taylor is just goofy. He'll sell one album, then be yesterday's news.
I had an idea for next week's theme. Beastie Boys!! Just because I want to see them perform on the Results Show.
