Saint Patrick was the patron saint of Ireland. And I looked it up for good measure but basically a "patron saint" is like a founding father for the Catholic Church. So St. Patrick was the one identified as first taking Catholicism to Ireland so was given the title "patron saint" by the Pope. St. Patrick lived back in the 5th Century for the record.
Basketball is underway and I'm not doin too shabby! I correctly picked 12 of the 16 games played so far, but more importantly, I have only lost one of my final 16 teams (Syracuse) and I still have 100% of my 8/4/2/1 left in the tourney. And yes, I was getting scared watching Gonzaga but I knew the boys would pull it out!!! More games today including a hopeful upset of Northwestern St. over the Squawkeyes from Iowa City. I hate those guys. And yes, hate is such a "soft" word when you talk about them.
Brews Brothers took 5 of 7 points last night in the "position round" night of bowling. The most important part of last night is the realization that there is only one more week of bowling left... THEN GOLF SEASON STARTS!!! Brews Bros finish below .500 for the season but last night was an inspiring night at the lanes without our star athlete - Fisher.....
And if anyone cares, US Baseball team lost to Mexico so they are out of the games. Yes, that means that the sport that is "America's Pastime" is also the sport that we lost to both our neighbors (Canada and Mexico) in. That's like owning a pool table and your neighbors come over and kick your ass on it and then go home laughing about it. And one of your neighbors was a drunk guy from the north side of the house that is better dressed to play curling or hockey. Funny.... that's what we get for sending our superstar pros that are obsessed with money. Don't know how to play for pride anymore.
Song of the Day - I thought this picture was really funny so I'm going to share it with you.... Alright
You all know the words..... and now it's stuck in your head as it is stuck in mine!
Video of the Day - For those that love hockey - and for those that don't.... this is why I watch hockey. A great fight that even drags out the goalies!!
Webpage of the Day - And for anyone that hasn't figured it out yet.... you can watch the bball games FOR FREE from your laptop. Video is really good and you just have to register is all. It's called "March Madness on Demand" and there's only about a 2 minute delay from the TV. Hint if you use it, don't have a scoreboard up otherwise you'll see the scores updated before the TV broadcast. Also good to watch if there's a game out of your region that they're not showing on your local CBS. And yes, productivity at the work place will suffer... DEAL WITH IT:)
Have a great weekend and Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Hey heads up-breaking news outa Ames late last night. A news conference is planned for later today...firing Wayne Morgan,a nd apparently his entire coaching staff! If only they would show the same intensity towards our FB program!! No word yet as to why...hhmmm...
Nice - I heard he has a new house with a pool in the basement. You and Boy should move in there. It could still be called "The House That Boy Helped Build". just check to see if the garbage disposal is hooked up correctly before you buy.
