It's Gotta Be The Shoes

Thank goodness for that kick a** shovel I bought Hazel for Valentine's Day. We got some thick heavy snow (with ice underneath) yesterday and it was annoying to drive and even walk on. Best part is paying dues every month to my association to have someone else shovel my driveway, then coming home and it's still not done. I don't understand why they have to wait till the middle of the night to do it all the time. Oh well.

I broke out the Jordan DVDs last night. We watched the 69 point performance from 1990 against Cleveland. What a fun time to watch the "high tech" graphics of the 1990s. The players look pretty lanky as well, especially Jordan and Pippen. Makes me wish I would have gone to one of the games live though. I'll have to relive them over and over again with my DVDs now... to the delight of Hazel I'm sure!

Got your picks done yet for the Tourney that starts Thursday? I'm pretty close. I will probably revisit my picks over the next couple of days. If you need some hints or suggestions, my advice is available for 50 cents a pick. That's a steal!

Peter Tomarken was in a plane crash yesterday and died. He was the host of Press Your Luck. You know, the Wammy show! I think I watched that game show more than any other growing up. I watched Tic Tac Dough and Price is Right a lot as well. And does anyone else remember the MTV game show Remote Control? Well before the days of Singled Out with Jenny and Carmen. What other ones am I forgetting? Card Sharks was Pat's favorite.

Speaking of Press Your Luck - if you haven't' seen the special about Michael Larsen who scammed the gameshow by memorizing the patterns of the curser and ended up with over 100,000 bucks (usually a score in the 20,000 - 30,000 would win easily) - there's a special on the Game Show Network from time to time. Here's a webpage if you want a longer read to entertain yourself. It's really a classic example of how humans are still smarter than computers. Too bad the guy was a little creepy when you watch it.

Webpage of the Day - Jordan's "Greatest Commercials" - according to ESPN.com. I would probably change the order around making the commercials with "Mars" #1. I also would add the new commercials for the Jordan XXIs on there. I love that one!
