Snow on the Ground, Work to Do

Congrats to Jan and Kevin on the birth of Jack Floyd last Wednesday!! Rochester population increases by one more (and an additional Cyclone fan at that!)

More snow in Rochester this weekend. It was the fun snow that allowed me to slide all over the road on purpose since traffic was minimal Sunday morning. New tires prevent from a clean donut, but I can still have some fun out there. It does look like Winter finally around here after the past week's worth of snow fall. Possibly more on the way this week.

Two totally contrasting football games yesterday. I predicted Chicago vs New England which looked like how it was going to end up for a while.... but Indianapolis pulled out a surprise to me and now it's Colts vs Bears in a MidWest version of the Superbowl. The two towns are only a couple of hours away from each other - why not have the SuperBowl IN the Midwest instead of in Florida. That'd be something to see. Not the two teams I was hoping to see in the final game, but whatever... may the best team win.

I'm not one to usually complain about NFL officiating, but the calls in the New England and Indianapolis game were kind of surprising to me. Couple of pass interference calls that I disagreed with. But that's why I'm on the couch watching and not wearing a zebra suit.

With Chicago going to the Super Bowl, we are now one more Bears victory from another wedding this summer! I expect to play at the wedding - I'll play the Bears Fight song in honor of the cause for the marriage ceremony!

Best accomplishment for me this weekend? Finished all of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies - more to report later this week!

Song of the Day - Despite the request for the Super Bowl Shuffle, I updated my Workout Playlist with U2 for the week. First time I've changed my play lists in about 2 months. U2 always makes a workout go faster. This morning it was Zooropa which is one of the better U2 albums despite what the other 95% of the world thinks about that album.

Movie of the Day - I watched World Trade Center this weekend with The Pat and Tony-A... It was ok, but not at all what I thought it was going to be. Not a lot of time leading up to the events of 9/11 - just a lot dealing with the time afterwards. A feel good story in the end, but hard to relive the events of that day.

Webpage of the Day - Learn to play most of the themes from your Nintendo days on the piano. Including Zelda which I never realized how easy that is. Now if I only had a keyboard at home to practice these! Never know when playing Zelda or Mario might be necessary in order to impress a member of the opposite sex.

You can come over and help Joey play on his keyboard. :)
