Big Big Storms last night in Rochester. Thunder, Lightning, lots of Rain, Hail, Tornados, Hurricanes, Black Holes.... whatever you can think of, we had it. Snakes on Planes even! The hail didn't do any damage to the TrailBlazer luckily, but there were cars to the North that had windows knocked out with baseball sized hail. I didn't check this morning to see how much rain we had total, but it was over 1.5 inches during the first wave of junk around 8:30.
And in the biggest news to hit our world this week.... no more Pluto as part of our Solar System. So for those that remember the "My Very Educated Mother Just Sent Us Nine Pizzas" will have to resort to "My Very Elder Mother Just Sent Us NOTHING" or something like that. Glad there's nothing else for people to worry about than whether or not Pluto is big enough to be called a planet. What did the people of Pluto ever do to us?
Big series this weekend with the Twins playing at Chicago. Go Twins! They are .5 game back and could easily jump into the Wild Card Lead with a sweep, or even by winning the series.
Sunday also is Arthur Ashe Kids Day at the US Open which is always fun to watch. It'll be emotional as Agassi plays in his 21st straight, and final US Open. If you're around Sunday afternoon, watch the Kids Day stuff.... top players come out to entertain the kids with fun tennis games and are all wearing mics to entertain the crowd. US Open preview coming next week (action starts Monday).
Have a great Weekend! Kickoff is less than a week away for the 9-3 Cyclone Season!!
Song of the Day - I actually heard Falco's Rock Me Amadeus this morning while in and out of Wal-Mart. The song that never dies I guess. It has been referenced in Pop Culture a ton since coming out in 1986 (20 years! I'm old!) from the Simpsons! to the Bloodhound Gang, to Wedding Singer to American Dad. Still, not my favorite song to remind me of the 80s.
Video of the Day - This is funny, but wrong.... .knew where this was going but still made me laugh.
Webpage of the Day - The people that brought you the Best Buy mission a while ago, now bring you Home Depot action! A lengthy but fun read (with pics and video).
